Following each headline metric back through the reporting layers to the system that actually generates it, documenting the transformation logic on the way.
Independent rebuild and reconciliation
Reconstructing each metric from source without reference to the existing calculation, then comparing. Gaps are quantified and explained rather than adjusted to match.
Definition and build
Agreed definitions documented with exclusions and sources, and reporting rebuilt on the reconciled basis in your own infrastructure.
Handover
Models, transformation logic, tests and documentation transferred, with training recorded so your team can maintain and extend it.
What this costs us
Reconciliation is sold standalone. Clients can commission it, act on the findings with their own team and never engage us again.
We recommend retiring reporting. Removing reports nobody opens reduces the estate we would otherwise be paid to maintain.
We hand over the models. Documented transformation logic and recorded training make us straightforwardly replaceable.
We deliver unwelcome findings. Telling a leadership team that a board metric has been wrong for three years is not a comfortable meeting and it is the work.

What does reconciliation actually involve?
We rebuild each headline metric from the source system independently, without reference to how it is currently calculated, then compare. Where the two disagree we quantify the gap and explain its cause.
How often do numbers disagree?
On most engagements at least one headline metric does not reconcile, and the cause is usually a definition change or a transformation written against a system that has since changed.
Can we buy reconciliation alone?
Yes, at a fixed fee. The findings are yours and several clients have acted on them with their own teams.
Where is the work built?
In your own warehouse, platform and accounts. Nothing sits in infrastructure we control, so ending the relationship is an access change.
Will you tell us to remove reports?
Regularly. Reporting nobody opens is the most common waste in this field and retiring it reduces what you pay us.
What if our data cannot answer the question?
We say so at the assessment stage, name what would have to change and cost it, rather than building reporting on records that will not support it.
Do you work with federal reporting requirements?
Yes. Traceability to source is exactly what an audit expects, and it is the standard we work to regardless.
Can you train our team instead?
Yes, standalone, including for organizations intending to bring analytics fully in house.
